Dorothy "Aunt Dot" Johnson
(May 27, 1917-March 5, 2010)

Dot Johnson was a long time camper and a long time member of Canvasback 157 of NAFCA. She loved camping with her family and friends. I was glad that I had the chance to get to know Dot Johnson. She was a great person to talk to and to know. Everyone called her "Aunt Dot" because she was like an aunt to most of us. She was certainly like an aunt to me. In the later years, I joined Canvasback and I would get Christmas cards from her every single year and about what was going on. I will never forget the day that Virginia told me on Facebook that Dot was not doing so good and that her pastor was coming to see her. Then, two days later getting the e-mailed that she had died. I was in between classes at the time at school. Dot is now in a better place with all of her camping friends in heaven, including my grandparents. Dot will be missed in Canvasback and NAFCA. May you rest in peace Dot!
