If you have been in PV8 or NAFCA since 1971, then one name should ring your bell. That name is Sherry Taylor. Sherry
was the sunshine lady for PV8. She was also an honorary PV8 Teen Advisor. Sherry was the type of person that would care about
everyone that had ever been a member of the club. She was one of a kind and she will be missed in the chapter.
Sherry L. Taylor 1947 - 2009 CHICOPEE - Sherry L. Taylor, 62, of East Main Street died Tuesday at home. Sherry was born
in Springfield the daughter of the late James and C. Jean (Honiker) Taylor. She grew up in Springfield, lived in West Springfield
most of her life before moving to Chicopee 4 years ago. A longtime Day Care Provider, she has generations of children who
will miss her dearly. She was an active member of the Rushing Waters Assembly of God Church in Chicopee and belonged to the
Pioneer Valley Chapter 8 of N.A.F.C.A. and volunteered with the West Springfield Chapter of SERVE New England. While living
in West Springfield Sherry also was a longtime Town Meeting Member. She leaves her siblings Bonnie J. Michel of West Springfield,
Douglas J. Taylor Sr. and his wife Marilyn of Agawam, Melody A. Stark and her husband Bill of Monrovia, CA; six nieces and
nephews and their families and her sidekick Francine Gaudreault. The funeral will be held at the Rushing Waters Assembly of
God Church, 465 Granby Rd, Chicopee Tuesday at 10:00am followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held
at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday from 4:00 - 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the
Sherry L. Taylor Memorial Fund, c/o United Bank, P.O. Box 9020, West Springfield, MA 01090-9020.
